You can enter just the next drawing, or enter your numbers into multiple consecutive draws so that you never miss out.
Pay for your entries before the cut-off time of 8:59 p.m. Pick 3 costs $1 per play, so the total to pay depends on how many draws you are entering and the numbers of plays submitted.
Here is more information about all of the different ways you can play. You are allowed to select multiple play types for each set of numbers, so for example you could play a $1 Straight and a $1 Box with the same numbers.
To win a Straight play, you must pick three numbers and match them exactly to the numbers that are drawn, with every digit in the same position.
A Box play gives you more room for manoeuvre, as you only need for your three numbers to be drawn. It does not matter which order they are drawn in. A Box play can either be 3-Way or 6-Way, depending on which numbers you choose.
A Front Pair play is a prediction on the first two numbers that will be drawn, so you don’t even need to select a third digit on your playslip. You need to match both digits in exact order to win.
This is just like a Front Pair, except that you are wagering on the second and third numbers in the draw. For example, if you select X23, you win if the final two numbers are 23, regardless of what the first drawn digit is.
The odds are different for each play type, as you have more chance of matching numbers in any order than getting them exactly correct. The odds are also better if you play a Pair than a Straight. The payouts are proportional to the chances of winning, so the best prize is available if you play a Straight and match all three numbers in order.
